Questionable ethics from Brigh****er Commons Cash Converters - Buying of ****** goods
I have to assume that Cash Converters buys ****** goods, they claim to follow the POPIA Act and purchase / loan against equipment that belongs to the seller / lender, this according to their rules, you have to be the legal owner. 3 weeks ago an ex work associate and serial ***** Bradley Allan Page stole my generator, tools and carpet cleaner. The carpet cleaner was pawned at a pawn shop in Florida, which I managed to pay to get it back, the tools I am not sure where they went. The generator was pawned at Cash Converters - Brigh****er Commons and after opening a SAP case, I decided as I needed the generator to go see if I could get it out. This is where I picked up issues, They cannot prove that the above mentioned seller was the owner of the equipment, because they never asked, but they expect me to bring the person into the store and give permission to me to buy my own equipment back. How the hell do you get someone that's ****** from you to go and help you get the same ****** equipment out.
They protect the *****'s and in doing so promote crime as its easy for them to accept ****** goods. I will never deal with this ************ branch and hope / trust that this is only one bad branch and not the whole chain I have written to Head office, but have gotten nowhere. I will be taking this further

All stores are registered second-hand dealers in terms of the Second-Hand Goods Act, No.6 of 2009 and are members of the National Association of Franchised Second-Hand Dealers. We go to all reasonable lengths to assist SAPS in combating the dealing of ****** goods.
Are you talking about the Cash Converters Ferndale? We ask because we don't have a store in Brigh****er Commons.

We go to all reasonable lengths to assist SAPS in combating the dealing of ****** goods.

You have told me that you have a zero-tolerance policy on ****** goods but haven't explained to me how a person can come in and pawn a generator, without him giving any proof of him been the rightful owner of the generator.
So begs the question does Cash Converters promote the buying of ****** equipment, if no one has been asked to prove the equipment belongs to them.
So how can I get my ****** equipment back from your store?

Having a case number would be helpful to the store as we actively collaborate with SAPS, taking all reasonable measures to combat the trade of ****** goods. If SAPS flags an item as ******, we cooperate with them to ensure compliance with the law. We've also escalated the matter to the store for a thorough investigation and they will be in touch.
