Loan declined because of prescribed debt

On Monday I app**** for a 1|2|3 loan, which was approved instore. I was issued with a card and signed the contract. My application was sent to head office for final approval.

On Wednesday I was informed by a consultant from head office that my loan is being declined because of a previous loan I took out in 2011, which still reflected on their system as unpaid.

I informed the colsultant that this loan is over 5 years old, and I no longer had any record/s available of when/if this was paid.

I attempted to contact the attorneys who iriginalyl contacted me regarding the debt (Schulenburg Attorneys), to obtain a letter from them to confirm this debt is prescribed, but I am not getting any feedback from them.

This debt is presribed, over 5 years old in fact, and is preventing my current applciation from being granted. Can someone please action this, so that my loan can be approved, as I am not able to provide the required letter???
