Inhumane service

My name is Didi Motsepe. I and a friend of mine, Leo Mchunu visited Cash Converters in Meadowdale, Germiston on Tuesday, 19 June 2018. We browsed around the shop, and picked a few items we wanted to buy. One of the shop's attendants suggested to place the items by the tills, so that we could pay once we were done with the shopping. We continued looking at other items in the shop. All of a sudden, we were instructed by one lady to stop everything we were doing, and we were escorted to the back of the store. She told us that they had spotted some suspicious activities. We were also advised that they spotted from the camera footage that we were involved in some wrong doing. Another gentleman came in and advised that for what we had done, he can call the police and get us arrested. We were not shown the footage of the suspicious activity. Leo's handbag was searched (I didn't have a handbag, just a small pouch with my cellphone). There was no evidence of us having ****** anything from the store. We were accused of having placed the alleged ****** items back on the shelves - which would have been impossible since we were escorted to the back office. In summary, we were chased out of the shop, and told never to set foot there again. The gentleman mentioned above had a camera and took our photos as we were leaving under duress without our consent. This was and still is humiliation of note, and completely unacceptable. We need to view the footage and we are taking this matter further, as we strongly believe it infringes on human rights.
