Faulty Multimeter Bought at The Arbour Crossing Branch
On the 4th of July 2024 I bought a Fluke multimeter at The Arbour Crossing Branch in Amanzimtoti. I was buying it on behalf of my nephew. They did the voltage test at the store using a battery and it was fine.
I don't know anything about electrical staff so I didn't know there were other tests that were supposed to be done. When my nephew picked up the multimeter later that afternoon,he runs other tests and He tells me he found faults on the multimeter.
It only gives the correct reading when measuring voltage, but it doesn't read milliamps. I tell him to call them the following day because we live far apart,I won't know how to explain the matter and meter is already with him.
Upon calling them He is given bad attitude and told that they won't take it back because maybe He is responsible for that fault.
This was bought yesterday and today it can't be refunded like what the hell. This is definitely a ****.
I just wish I had read the reviews before setting my foor in that store because according to the reviews, what we are facing now is a common issue.
Please assist because I don't wish for it to escalate into an uncontrollable situation because I will fight for our money no matter what it takes.
If they want us to do the same test they did at the store to prove that indeed it is still in the very condition we bought it in,that's fine.
We have escalated your complaint to the store.

So what He did was,He went and sold back the multimeter at your Pinetown branch and they only gave Him R1000.
But to prove the companies ignorance, they still made one exact same battery test that they made when i bought the unit from them. So according to them,it's working 100% because they don't even know what a working unit is supposed to do.
This proves exactly that indeed the unit was faulty when we bought it but they tried to pin it on us. Someone else is still going to buy the very same unit and encounter the same problem we encountered.
The biggest issue now is that the company has made R1500 purely by ****ming us,that us very very wrong and I really need that refund.
Please check in with your Pinetown Branch and the Amanzimtoti Arbour Crossing Branch to confirm all the information I'm giving.
I'll be waiting for your response.
Kind Regards
