Faulty Items, Unauthorised Repair, Poor Attitutude

Be careful of any appliances you buy from Cash Converters, especially the Claremont branch. They aren't testing things they sell. So if you take the trouble to get a heavy, bulky thing home and it may not work from the minute you plug it in.<br> <br> Now you have to get it back to the shop somehow. They make promises to collect it, and assess why it doesn't work. They also promise any fix will be authorised by you and done properly with correct parts etc. <br> <br> Instead they have a Congolese guy at the back who speaks little or no English and he does a bodge job on your property without asking and he doesn't just \take a look". They are not repair centers and should not be tinkering with something 'just to get it going'. <br> <br> In my case they repaired a motor and sandpapered the inside of an air-fryer. I have no idea how long the repair will last or what effect the sanding will do on an item that generates steam. It may cause a fire or stop working as soon as you take it home.
