Cash crusaders medowdale doesn't follow six month repair, replace, refund guarantee

Worst experience with the cash converters in medowdale, I recently bought a second hand laptop from the cash converters in medowdale - one of my main concerns was when I bought the laptop it was extremely slow, I was told by the employees that, it just needed to run updates. I went into the store today 18/12/2023 to get a refund on my purchase because the laptop was still extremely slow and because I only bought the laptop based on the companies employees lies and when I asked for a refund based on cash converters 6 month warranty which is, REPLACE REFUND REPAIR I was told that the most they can do is repair the laptop and if they feel I've cause the issue, I'll be liable to pay the repair fees, I haven't even had the laptop for a month and a half and I'm being told blatantly that I'll be liable for the cost of repair. When I referred to the 6 month guarentee I was told that cash converters medowdale doesn't follow those rules because they're part of a franchise, which makes no sense because if your part of a franchise every shop part of that franchise has to follow a set of rules? The laptop was so slow that it took my 45 min just to log in, switch my wifi on and log into my emails, the buisness didn't even turn the laptop on to see what I was speaking about and was constantly pushing the repair factor, I mean how are you going to send something in for repairs if you don't know what's wrong with it ,while I just wanted my money back after making a R2500 purchase based on a lie from the company, how can you lie to people just to make a quick R2500. I'm currently studying my Bed in education and I cant even log into my school site, I just want my money back to I can go somewhere that is reliable, trusted and follows their guarantees
