Cash convertors policies and unprofessional anti consumer actions
On monday 2 sept i saw an ad posted by cash convertors walmer park.i contacted them immmediately and the lady told me it was available.i asked her as she knew me well as a regular to hold the item till i could get there.abt an hr.i also called the store who informed me it was being held for me.i asked if i shud pay online and they said not needed so i left to the store and upon arrival saw a gentleman paying for the item.i was told then that he was also told to come even tho the item was held for me .the manager was called and he told me he will sell the item to the person who was in front of him notwithstanding that i had contacted the store first and was assured by two staff members that it would be held for me and aslo notwithstanding the fact that i had bought many items there before and was a regular.i then asked him if its wise to tell all who contact them online to come and the have an obvious argument happen in store or if the agreement with the first person should be kept.i also asked if his first come story app**** to the first person to contact or the second or third or whoever was closer to the store or drove faster.the manager continued to debate this issue not apologising or recognising the error and unprofessional approach.he disregarded the fact that his staff had assured me that the item was being held for me and that a tacit if not formal agreement was thus made.i left having drawn cash and driven across town only to be embarassed and frustrated by this encounter.
Thanks for sharing your feedback. We have asked one of the store's management representatives to look into this issue.
