Cash converters TV story

I made a cash back at Converters at Three River in Vereeniging.Today I went there for extension and I was told they already took my staff from loan to the floor. So i must pay 3999 to get it back. They loaned me 1800 and the payment was supposed to be 2100.00.The expired date was yesterday on the 9 June 2017 and i went there on the 10 June 2017.The TV is LG 42 PQ10R.Normal they do 10days extension without customer but this time they did not.So they cant extend or give me my TV that I spend 9999 to buy it.They request me to lay bye the staff.

Good day

Thank you for taking the time to post your complaint on Hellopeter.

I will send this complaint to the store owner as well as the regional operations manager.

Please do bear in mind that if you do not contact the store with regard to an extension, the system automatically pulls the item out of cash advance and places it in our retail section. As a norm, our stores don't do a 10 day extension, but in some cases they will help.

The store will be in contact with you shortly.

Kind regards

Tia Hocanin

Good day

Kindly see reply from our franchisee:

This customer came on in Sunday. Correct in all of his version. EXCEPT:
We offered him a greatly reduced price to get the TV back. This was only extended to him on condition that he comes as soon as possible to do the lay bye. We don’t offer ANY discounts on a lay bye. We gave him that without him requesting it.
The bottom line is that his agreement expired. The agreement then clearly states when this is the case, it becomes property of Cash Converters Three Rivers. There is no ambiguity about that.
He expected a 10-day grace period. We don’t have that. We could have extended it on the expiration date for at least another 10 days, but for 30 days that the agreement was in place, he never requested that. Once the agreement expires, the item/s get transferred to the retail floor.

In future, please contact the store if you have a problem paying on time. Our stores are always there to help our customers, but in this case, the store was not aware of your situation.

Kind regards
