Cash Converters Hillfox lies to customers and contravene lockdown regulations
On the 20th of March I've loaned against my Tent from Cash Converters in Hillfox. Unfortunately lockdown started and I could not pay for and collect my item on the 20th of April. Around 15th of May I went to Food*****s and noticed that the branch was open. Upon enquiring about my item i was told the following. 1. The store opened on the 1 of May and and sms was send to me. Which I have received and read as they have proof. 2. Another sms was send on the 9th of May that I will now forfeit my item as I have not responded to the first sms. Again there was proof that I have received and read the msg. This item was now ticket and sold 3. I have asked the store to show me such proof and was rudely told to go through my phone or call the the Cash Converters head office as they don't keep proof at the branch. 4. I've tried calling but nobody answered the phones. I then logged a query on the website. 5. I got a response that the store manager and area manager will call me... to date no phone calls. 6. Then in received a response again from Mbali that my query was resolved. How can it be resolved if I'm still waiting for the store or area manager to call me? How can a non essential item have been sold during level 4 lockdown as this was not allowed. The store does not display any permits that they are allowed to operate during level 4 as per requirement. I feel it is unfair to loose an item if the correct procedures was not adhered to. Pls call me Mbali has my contact details. ***
