Blatant theft

Last month myself and my partner pawned a coin at Cash Converters in Pietermaritzburg. The final date for taking the coin out was today, so I spent R350 on a bus ticket to get to Pietermaritzburg in time to take it out. I was informed at Cash Converters that I may not take the coin out as the loan was done in my partners name. This is extremely disappointing to me, as I had the original loan agreement with me, as well as the box that the coin was brought in. I was even helped by the very same man who I originally pawned the coin with. So now I have to pay the initiation fees for this month as well as next. I consider this blatant theft. Why should I have to pay the same initiation fees twice on one loan? Especially considering that I had the cash with me to take out the coin. I consider this blatant white collar theft. I now have to pay R169 this month to extend the agreement, and pay the same amount of fees again next month, for my own property. The extended agreement that I had to sign was also in my partners name, so I see now reason why I could not have taken out my property, considering I had the full amount necessary to do so, as well as the original agreement.
