Be careful of Cash Converters at Stoneridge Centre, Edenvale

I app**** for a cash advance loan of R1200 with Cash Converters at Stoneridge Centre in Edenvale on 09 September 2024. The amount including interest was R1570,95.

I returned on the 10 October 2024, to request an extension until end of October 2024. I was informed that I should pay the interest of R358.00. I did not have the amount at the time. I returned on 16 October 2024 and was told to pay R1200. Even after paying this amount I was informed that the R1570,95 remains as the balance due in 16 November 2024.

Is this allowed in terms of the National Credit Act? Why would they say I should pay R358 on the 10 October then on the 16 October its changed to 1200 yet I still need to pay the original 1570,95.? What happened to the R1200 that I paid?
