Avoid Cash Converters Montana, pretoria, at all cost!

Found a Ryobi 125cc petrol lawnmower on facebook marketplace that seemed in decent condition and advertised by Cash Converters Montana (Pretoria) for R1999. Not the cheapest but I figured I would drive there and avoid the hassle of arranging viewing times and going to a stranger's house. Was happy with the product in store after checking it through but when I got to the paypoint fiinally I noticed now the amount on the card machine was R2999 all of a sudden. Told them they advertised the product for R1000 less, and also when walking in the door started the conversation with I want to look at the petrol lawnmower for R2000.

I showed them the advert with the advertised price tag. I also explained a brand new one is R3400, why would anyone buy a used second hand product for only R400 less. No apologies offered, no discussions just a "Is what it is" from the staff. Ironically this morning as I found the advert again I noticed the very same lady that posted the facebook advert, is in fact the person I dealt with in store! So she knew full well that her advert was false advertising, and she thought she would get people to pay the price as they already made the effort to travel to the store etc. Very bad business practice. Can only imagine the stories if you have an actual issue with something coming out of this store. *********, avoid at all cost.
