Mauritius, Casella, Swan Insurance and the Legal System, 10 years of pain and frustration
10 years ago I went to Casella Nature Park to celebrate my 50th birthday with my son, and went on their zipline ride. We were not given helmets or gloves or any way in which to control or slow down our ride and due to their negligence tbey did not remove the rider before me which resulted in a collision. I was left injured with 2 broken ribs, a broken clavicle and all the lumbar spineous process L1-L4 broken off as well. I was taken to hospital in an undignified manner in a make shift ambulance and ****her submitted daily to harassment for payment for my hospital stay whilst there. I was airlifted to Milpatk hospital in South Africa where I spent a ****her week having my clavicle reset for the 2nd time. The operation on my clavicle had to be done 3 times. I had to have a fusion done on my neck and a ****her fusion on my lower back all exacerbated by the impact caused by this accident. They have tried to shake responsibility by claiming that as I have had a previous back injury that they are not liable and have had me jumping through loops for 10 years. They demanded a disability report from an expert which I supp**** then they wanted their own expert to do same assessment making me fly to Mauritius at my own expense. Their experts assume that matched closely to one I supp**** and still they are finding ways to avoid responsibility. Once again giant corporates with deep pockets and big insurance companies play with the legal system at will and keep the average man dangling at the end of their line. My medical costs climb daily and no- one is held to accountability. I am at retirement age now and only have bills and extreme pain to look forward to.
