Harassment by security at Cascades mall PMB

<p>Just had THE most terrifying experience at Cascades center !! Parked in my usual spot which is probably not an official parking but which is used as such during the renovation . ( it in no way hinders traffic is obstructive and usually the car guard directs parkers to this exact spot)On getting out of my car with 4 children we were pounced on by the highly aggressive hawkers of the photographed waterless car wash - 'BMW all my life , I want you as my wife ' was the first greeting - I said no thanks and tried to walk off he persisted and persisted with his taunts and by now we were actually afraid !! All I kept thinking was 'he's going to scratch my car! ' when we were about 20m from my car just as we were walking through the doors I heard a voice shouting to me - 'move your car ! - unbeknown to me this was the center security . We then went into Sportsmanship warehouse where I got the number for the center management to tell them about the ************ that was happening , I spoke to Cindy who I also took a photo of ! She proceeded to tell me that She would meet me at my car - which she did only for me to discover that I had been wheel clamped - when I asked for the clamp to be removed she told me that I was *******ly parked and would have to pay R500 - they wouldn't unclamp until I did - so I paid - I feel that the security of the center and the hawkers ganged up against us and the center management were unreasonable- I explained to Cindy that we were intimidated and how the whole thing played out . when I asked if we could view video footage to prove we were accosted and intimidated she told me that the video footage is for the centers benefit and not the shoppers - I cannot understand how Cascades allow this ************ in their parking lot . Not only am I R500 out of pocket but it was a waste of time and my kids keep saying - 'mom that was so scary! ' if anyone in the know could please put me onto who this could be reported to please inbox me .</p>
