Casa Feliz extremely disappointing and unprofessional workmanship
My experience with Johan Van Greunen was extremely disappointing. The standard of workmanship and technical knowledge demonstrated during the installation of my alarm system was unacceptable. There were multiple issues with the installation, including incorrect wiring of the passive sensors, passives being glued directly onto the ceiling instead of being properly mounted in brackets, and an outdated and faulty vibration sensor being installed on one of my windows. The vibration sensor repeatedly triggered the alarm every 10–20 minutes, making the system practically unusable. I also raised concerns about the positioning of an outdoor beam and whether it could be manually bypassed. Instead of addressing the technical concern professionally, I was told that he would "like to see me bypass the beam." I subsequently tested it, recorded the result, and sent him the video. There was, unsurprisingly, no response. When outdoor beams were repositioned, holes were left in my walls, including holes drilled from the inside out. I had to specifically ask for these holes to be filled to prevent rainwater from entering and potentially causing damp-related damage. The alarm system and keypad were also not at all explained to me after installation. Ultimately, I had to bring in another professional alarm company to rectify all of the work. This resulted in an additional cost of approximately R10,000 to correct and repair the installation. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Johan Van Greunen at Casa Feliz for alarm installation work. The lack of attention to detail, inadequate technical execution, failure to properly address concerns, and the additional cost incurred to rectify the installation were simply unacceptable. He sells his alarm installation service based on his construction work experience. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!
