Guest house Casa campagna Hartbee****rt

This Airbnb host, Casa campagna,took our reservation that we booked through your website on Monday the 21 st of September 2020 for the 25th to the 27th of September 2020. On the same day the money was paid from my Credit Card. The following day, the 22nd, I received a message from the host to say they had a Covid case earlier this month and that they could not accommodate us. I immediately rep**** that I understood and could the host please let me know when I could expect a full refund...he ignored me. After numerous SMS s, e mails etc were ignored I even contacted Airbnb directly which promised to get back to me...this up to date has not happened either.

I eventually came across a Facebook page for Casa Campagna where the owner posted that the property is now an Old Age Home!!??

I found a contact number for Jannie the owner. I contacted him and he told me that he took his property off Airbnb in the beginning of the year already and he was extremely rude when I questioned him about not returning any of my messages about a refund.

1. If they cancelled on Airbnb in the beginning of the year why are they still on your website? 2. How can they be an Airbnb AND an Old Age home? 3. If they had Covid in the beginning of September why were their bookings not blocked?

This had been a most unpleasant experience. I have heard from another party that a refund can take up to 15 days. With only 2 days to the weekend it has put a damper and made it impossible to go away!.

Not a great reflection of Airbnb and their host Casa campagna.
