Before arriving to inspect they phoned to say that they had done research and revised their highest offer to R 106,000. We queried how the offer could change in just 3 working days?

Their reply? It's the difference between book value and market value. ( obviously this could not be mentioned in the original offer because it could/would discourage us)

See what they have done here???

After inspection they offerred R 91,500. Take it or leave it

We left it

We sold it elsewher for R 140,000 (

Hi Eddy,
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience you experienced.
We have no intention to trick or behave *********ly towards any of our customers.
Kindly note that our online algorithm does not consider the service history, motor plan status or current market demand of the vehicle. Once we have retrieved these factors from our customers, we can refine our pricing and compute the highest offer we can make to the customer. In your case unfortunately, these factors caused the maximum offer to fall below the online range.
The reason why there was a decrease in price, after the inspection, is due to the reconditioning cost of your car. Our inspectors consider the minimum required cost that needs to be incurred to bring your car to a condition the next buyer would accept.
Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience and hope that this response would provide some clarity on the matter.
Kind Regards
CarZar
Best regards,
