Terrible Food
We have been going to Carvers for a good few years. However, today is the last time. Only a buffet was available whereas in the past there was a choice of buffet or Ala Carte. The starters at the buffet consisted of what looked like a choice of soups. No bowls to serve up the soup though.

The mains had a choice of Pork, Chicken, Venison and Lamb. The pork was dry, the pork crackling was like shoe leather - no crackle about it at all. The lamb was a few bones, could not even get a decent slice or two. My wife had the venison - tough as anything.

When it came to desert, the chocolate mousse was virtually liquid, the strawberry something or other was dry and tasteless and we had to ask for the empty ice cream container to be replaced.

Standards have really gone down. All in all, the food was totally uninspiring and at R180-00 per head, it was a complete rip-off. Service was not particularly great. Carvers used to be great but I regret that I will not be going back there again.
