Faulty Cartridges

I had a early morning meeting on Monday and with horror on Sunday I discovered my ink in my printer was finished. My usual shop was closed so someone informed me I will be able to buy Epson cartridges from Cartridge Depot

On arrival the sales person informed me that they also stock the generic cartridges and that it’s as good as the original ones. He assured me that there will be no problems.

I bought the multi pack, when I got home I discovered that my printer is not picking up the one color(cyan).I phoned the store and the sales person told me to return it for a replacement seeing that it can happen that one might be faulty.

I went to change it, but home once again the new one is not working either. Went back to the store again and this time the sales person weight the cartridge, it was weighing 2.8.

I decided to buy the original(also weighing 2.8) one seeing that this was the only color having problems, and the store was about to close and I really didn’t want to drive back again.

At home the printer is now picking up the new color but not the black color. Monday I decided to take it back to the store because nothing is working on my printer. They gave me a paper to fill in and return for a full refund (I did not have my bank details with me) On Wednesday Morning I return back with the paper and my own old cartridge. Just for the store to tell me they will not be able to do a refund because the cartridges was empty (on my computer it showed that the ink was full 92), and below weight apparently it should be3.3 (Please remember it was weight on purchase and was weighing only 2.8)

The printer I have will not print if all 4 cartridges is not working .The told me to bring in my printer so they could check if it might have leaked out into my printer. I did take my printer in and they confirmed that it did not leak out.

The 'Head office" is just pulling up their shoulders now, and it’s not their problem.

I can’t help but to wonder, did I spent over the R500.00 for empty cartridges seeing that I didn’t print anything, but they are claiming it’s empty.
