Funds deducted but car booking not released due to undisclosed condition

On Friday, 04 June 2021, I hired a carhire at Fire Fly via Travelstart not knowing that it was booked via Car Trawler, who have turned to be ****** of note. When I landed at King Shaka Airport (Durban), then went to Fire Fly to pick up a car only to be told my credit score was low, and thus could not be given a car. Mind you had already paid R1796.90 for car hire from Fri 04/06 to Mon 07/06, and in addition paid R315 for insurance. All this precondition of credit score was never disclosed before I paid and was the first for me as have hired cars before at other Car Rental Companies.

From the moment left First Fly desk, I called Car Trawler for a good a good 45 minutes with some unprofessional and stubborn customer agent (Rowniel) who from onset said that no matter what I do that I would not be given a refund since was supposed to call them and cancel car hire before pick up time. We have been communicating back and forth emails since 07 June on this matter to find amicable solution and be refunded with monies paid, which todate have yielded no positive response. In last email, she sent to me on 14 June 2021, she communicated that "Therefore, I trust you will understand that we are not able to proceed any further with your case on this occasion".

I just feel ****** and would never ever recommend to anyone car hire booking coordinated these big ******s and ****** called Car Trawler. If you do so, just know you are likely to be in for a long road of being ********** and not get a fair deal.
