Your safety as a female driver is comprised as a cartrack client

Your safety as a female driver is comprised as a cartrack client, here is a few reason why to rather go with Tracker.

My client experience with cartrack,

My vehicle was scheduled for fitment on the 30 June 2017 ( I had not received a call as a reminder to inform me about the installation or who the technician is that will be coming) however the technician (Thabiso) only installed on the 01 July 2017 (due to the device being faulty and not connecting to the towers). I, as the client left the car under the supervision of my senior Dad, the technician didn’t install the device but managed to disconnect my emergency braking system. The technician never called me as his client to inform me about what is happening and left only mentioning that he will be back the following day. Upon the arrival of the technicians then informed me only on the 01 July they had mistakenly disconnected the braking system, and explained that should I experience any problems I should notify cartrack (in which I did). The vehicle was in a secured and sealed off garage which he moved the car into the yard where we had a few family members over and installed the devices (openly).

I started experiencing that my braking system is not as responsive and first thought it was all in my mind. 10th July 2017 I e-mail Dayne & Leslie ( Leslie, I had sent an sms on the 01 July asking for his work e-mail address only rep**** the following day at 12:00 as I was not happy with how his technician handled the situation :who failed to response to my email) informing them what I had experience.

20th July 2017, I receive a call the agent informs me that I should call in once a moth to ensure that my devices is still working, I agreed to doing that. I then told him about my braking problem and provide a name of the person I have spoken to about the problem previously. He assisted as best he could which I appreciate because it got Leslie Kirk their technician’s supervisor attention.

Leslie then calls on the 20 July, I explain the story as I did previously via email and to all the call centre agents that contacted me. He then explained to me that should they send out a FSI it would cost me R 500.00 bearing in mind I brought the matter to their attention within the month of it being installed not 3 months later.

27th July, I e-mail Pierre explaining my experience and that I have come to the conclusion that I would rather have car track remove their device from my vehicle. I don't have trust in cartrack any longer. It is disappointing that no one gave me, the client peace of mind that there is nothing wrong with my braking system. I have absolutely no confidence in your brand any longer. I am disappointed in the service I have received and not only that, no one has had the courtesy to actually attend to the matter.

I then received a call from the call centre supervisor whose name I can’t remember and she spoke very abruptly to me I guess she was protecting and defending her call centre agents which was on the 28th of July. It eventually got to the point that she told me a FSI will be coming to have a look at the vehicle. The FSI came to see what the problem was & asked if I could vacate the garage and I explained there is no need to as the technician installed in front of myself and my entire family (meaning my safety as a female driver was already compromised.)

The FSI then advised that I have to take my vehicle to the dealership in order to receive a diagnostic assessment on what the problem was and; kindly bear in mind I need to pay for this service from the dealership.

Furthermore, my account was double debited. I called in & the call centre agent was adamant that the double debit was meant to go through as a pre-payment, until I insisted that she goes through the terms & conditions policy which I had signed. Only after I re-read through the policy with her did she agree that they had made an error and she would ensure that the next debit order would go off in September. Doesn’t car track train their employees on its policies???

Since my request for cancellation in July the month in which the device was installed and as usual they only contacted me on the 04 August 2017 after I had to follow up they expect me to pay R 1700.00 cancellation fee for a service they didn’t provide and for a system that had temper with my braking system as well as me as the client have to continuously have to follow up upon every request phone call. So in essence, all I am paying for is level of INCOMPETENCE!!!

FYI, on the day of the installation they tried to recompense me with a panic button which I never requested for & has only worked once which was on the day which they had tested it.

Please resolve this matter by telling why I need to pay R 1700.00 cancellation fee for your delay in response to my request to cancel within the month of which it was installed. Why should I forced to pay for a service that was never provided?
