Where is my logbook?

It's been frustrating dealing with CarTrack regarding my log book and the cancellation of services. I've been a satisfied customer since purchasing my car, but after selling it in early 2024 and cancelling the device, I expected to receive my annual log book as usual. However, I've encountered obstacles.

Initially, Busisiwe Vilakazi informed me that my package didn't include this option. When I provided evidence of receiving logs previously under the same package, the reason changed to "we can't assist because you cancelled the contract."

According to POPIA, companies must retain records for five years after termination. Therefore, I'm entitled to my log for 2023/24.

What's particularly frustrating is the difficulty in speaking with managers directly, and there's no clear escalation process. Customer service agents seem uninformed about record-keeping policies.

I suggest reviewing my contract terms to clarify what I'm entitled to. Additionally, I request compliance with POPIA regarding record retention. I'll maintain records of all communications and seek further escalation if necessary. If this issue persists, legal advice may be necessary to protect my rights.

I appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter promptly.
