Warning to other consumers

I am writing this to warn other consumers: do not trust Cartrack with your bank account. They have formally admitted to overcharging me and debiting my account on the wrong day (outside of my mandate). This error on their part caused a further "resubmission fee," totaling R118 in unauthorized deductions.

Despite their agents admitting these were errors, the Office of the CEO is now ignoring my messages and refusing to return my cash. Instead, they are trying to force me to take an "account credit." This is a direct violation of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). According to Section 56, the consumer has the right to choose the refund method—not the company. By withholding my cash and forcing a credit, they are engaging in unconscionable conduct. I have now escalated this matter to the National Consumer Commission (NCC). If you value your consumer rights and your money, stay away from this company. They do not respect the law or their customers once they have your signature.

Thank you for the template apology. However, you sent me this exact same 'we will investigate' message.
As your agents have already formally admitted to the unauthorized overcharge and the incorrect debit date, there is nothing left to 'investigate' or 'clarify.' You are now simply delaying a refund that I am legally entitled to under the CPA.
Please be advised:
  1. I do not accept any further 'investigation' periods.
  2. I have officially registered with the National Consumer Commission (NCC).
  3. My demand remains a cash refund to my bank account, not a credit.
If the funds are not in my account within 48 hours, I will stop communicating with you and let the NCC handle the investigation into your billing practices
