UNAUTHORISED DEBIT BY CARTRACK

I sold a Mercedes Benz on the 2 December 2025. I had a Cartrack unit that was fitted on this vehicle. I am liable for a R2650 cancellation fee according to Cartrack. Surprise - Saturday, 13 December 2025, my personal bank account is debited with R1000. CarTrack nor its employees were given permission by me to debit my personal Nedbank account. I phoned in this morning. Sharon from Cartrack accounts says and I quote verbatim"Naedo Tracking put through this debit order. Its automated. You should have phoned in to make payment arrangements". When I question the reason behind R1000 being debited from my bank account and not the full amount, I get told that "Naedo decides". I have never heard a more bulldust story than this one. GIGO- Garbage in, garbage out - a human had to load this information. Sharon also refused to provide the name of the employee that loaded this information so that they could be held responsible. Don't do business with CarTRACK. They will ensure that these "automated debit orders" destroy intellect and common sense. CarTRACK - this is also official notice to remove the Cartrack tracking unit from my Mustang. I am told that this contract is on a month-to-month. Dont ever use this company as the employees there will feed you with questionable lies.

And low and behold, after I was sent a "settlement letter" with a NIL balance from CARTRACK, my bank account was debited again. After much consultation with the NEDBANK and SAPS on unauthorised debits = *****, a consumer has to formally write to CARTRACK instructing them to remove all debit order mandates from your bank account, and instructing them that any further unauthorised debits on your bank account will be construed as ***** and reported to SAPS. In terms of Nedbank - one can only place stop orders using CARTRACK as the name reference and amounts from 0-5000 as a stop order. CARTRACK - miscreants are a law unto themselves and need to be stopped from their ******* practices. Don't ever use this service provider. Their customer care and accounts staff are bullies, and the person handling complaints in the CEO office apologises each time with NO solution nor correspondence.
