Unacceptable Handling of Cancellation Request – Longstanding Client

Unacceptable Handling of Cancellation Request – Longstanding Client

I am extremely disappointed with the service received from Cartrack regarding the cancellation of my vehicle tracking service.

On 9 June 2025, I submitted a cancellation request via Cartrack’s official website after my vehicle was written off in a serious accident on 28 May 2025. I no longer have the vehicle, and therefore cannot be expected to continue paying for a service I cannot use.

To further confirm that my cancellation was received, I was contacted by Cartrack twice on 9 June from ***, once at 09h53 and again at 13h59. These calls are proof that my request was acknowledged.

However, when I contacted Cartrack again on 23 June 2025 to follow up, I was told that no cancellation request was logged, and that a 20-day notice period would now apply from today’s date. This is entirely unacceptable.

I have been a loyal Cartrack client since 2017, and I expected far better service and transparency. If this is how existing clients are treated—by disregarding valid cancellation requests in order to collect further payments—then I will certainly not be renewing with Cartrack for my new vehicle, nor will I recommend the service to others.

I demand:

Acknowledgment that the original cancellation was submitted and received on 9 June 2025

Immediate processing of the cancellation without a further 20-day notice period

A reversal of any deductions made beyond the cancellation date

If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution within 3 working days, I will escalate the matter further through the Consumer Protection Office and all relevant regulatory bodies.

This level of service is simply unacceptable.
