Tracking stops working and terms and conditions are not verbally explained

Dear Cartrack,

I am writing to express my extreme frustration and disappointment with the service I've received from your company. Not only have I encountered issues with transparency and inefficient processes, but the tracking device itself has stopped working.

It's astonishing that a company specializing in vehicle tracking cannot detect when a device is malfunctioning or not transmitting data. This raises serious concerns about the effectiveness and reliability of your service.

The R150,000 warranty for vehicle recovery was mentioned during our initial agreement, but the terms and conditions, including the requirement to call the call center every quarter to test the device, were not explained. This lack of transparency is unacceptable.

More egregious, however, is the fact that your company requires customers to call in for device testing when the app itself tracks the vehicle's location in real-time. This is not only redundant but also a clear indication of outdated processes. If the app can track my vehicle, it should be able to detect device malfunctions without requiring customer intervention.

It's inexcusable that a tracking company of your size and reputation doesn't have real-time monitoring capabilities to detect device malfunctions.

I demand an immediate review of my account and a detailed explanation for these inefficiencies. I expect a prompt response outlining the steps you'll take to modernize your processes and provide a more streamlined experience for your customers.

The fact that I, as a customer, have to report device failures and test the device manually every quarter is not only inconvenient but also indicative of a larger systemic problem. A tracking company of your caliber should have real-time monitoring and automated alerts for device malfunctions.

I demand an immediate investigation into this matter and a detailed explanation for the device failure. I expect a prompt response outlining the steps you'll take to rectify the issue, provide a reliable service, and compensate me for the period during which the device was not functioning.

If I don't receive a satisfactory response, I will be forced to explore alternative options and share my disappointing experience with others.

The warranty terms weren't fully explained when I signed up. Furthermore, the tracking device stopped working, and your company didn't detect the issue.

Please investigate and provide a resolution and response on this platform. Your private email Reponses are rather pathetic and generic.

Another generic response, just worded differently.

Dear Cartrack,

I'm disputing the terms and conditions of my contract. During the 13-minute phone call when I signed up, the terms weren't fully explained. I was only informed yesterday about the 5-day cooling-off period, and it was also mentioned that explaining the terms would take around 2 hours, which highlights the inadequate disclosure during the sign-up process.

Furthermore, I've experienced issues with the tracking device, which stopped working. When I raised this issue, the representative couldn't provide any details about why the unit stopped working or explain how the company monitors device functionality.

Given the lack of transparency, clear communication, and ineffective service, I request a thorough review of my account, clarification on the warranty and testing requirements, and a resolution to the device issue.

Hi Cartrack,

Your investigation bears no fruit. You mislead your clients. How could you say you are trying to recover my vehicle knowing very well that the unit is not working. Poor service. It is really what us as South African's have grown used to accepting.

You have substandard alerts systems. Your alert systems are your client.

Hi Cartack,

It’ is absolutely your intention to blindside your clients. As long as you are satisfied doing what you do, it is all on you.
