Terrible service.

7th of March 2023 I phoned car track informing them that I am trading in my renault duster for an i20. They then said its fine I need to pay R850 for a technician to remove the unit from my duster and put it in the i20.. after numerous discussions I got them to only charge R600.. because I can not understand how it costs a company so much to do a 15min job.. anyway that's not the point.

10th of March I called NUMEROUS times asking of the technician is coming because I'm trading in at 14h00pm..

They responded to me saying " do not worry it will all be sorted by the 13th of march".

14th of March I call AGAIN to ask them what's happening..no one has called me to confirm what time the reinstalling will take place?

Long story short only on the 14 of March was my request logged onto the system by their customer care department.. even though I called on the 7th of March...

Again not the issue.. 4 days of no unit in my new car.

After hundreds of Rands being wasted on airtime calling these lovely people asking for updates and answers.. I get asked .." have you reminded them to do the removal and installation?" Like it's my job to be their technician supervisor/manager??

So I stopped paying for their service.. now accounts department start phoning me asking me when will I make payment ... ? What exactly am I paying for is my answer to them.. they reply.."we will put you through to the technical department "..this went on for weeks daily..

I then get charged R850 for the "reinstalling of my unit" has not be done yet to this day 12th of June 2023. That is exactly 3 months and 2 days with no unit.. but every single day the account department calls me forcing me to make payment? The technicians excuse is " we can not get hold of you on your number..? " but accounts department uses the exact same number???

My unit was only removed from the duster 22 may 2023... they threatened to charge me for a new device because I "lost their device" when trading in my car on the 10th of March 2023..

I called on the 7th .. 8th ..9th and 10th numerous times asking them for advice because the day has come to trade in ??

Now I ask .. after 3 months and 2 days with no unit.. will tracker re-inburse me the price of my car when ******/hijacked? My insurance is under the impression I have a unit in my car ?

I refuse to pay them and I will never recommend their service to anyone .. all they have is excuses..

From the 10th of March they never called once to offer me a temporary unit until they can get hold of the dealership to remove my old unit.. not once did they call me and update me on their side with what's actually happening! Now that they finally removed the unit on the 22nd of May.. now it's my fault because I refuse to let them install the unit?? 2 months and 12 days of not knowing where the unit is and my car not having a unit.. now I am good enough to get calls asking for a time so they can install the unit ??

Sorry I will not support or pay for their services.. R324000 is alot of money to loose to a company that can't even update you on a weekly basis on where they stand with the removal and reinstalling of their unit..

If I'm not mistaken the contract states my car will be covered every single day for the duration of the contract??

I went 2 months and 12 days with no explanation..and now I am on 3 months and 12 ..of constant calls from accounts department threatening me with lawyers etc

Am I in the wrong or do I have a foot to stand on ?
