Termination of service

My car was involved in an accident and was written off. Cartrack said I need to finish paying for the contract term even though the car no longer exists. I have to pay 1500 to cancel the contract. I have no car at the moment yet i have monthly deduction for a tracker. I wonder if this is lawful.
