Such ****mers

About a year or so ago I received a call from a sales agent offering me a tracking unit. I advised the lady that I might be changing cars soon and during that time there might be moments of me being with a car. She said if I don't not have a car , I can put my contract on hold (I asked her if the call is recorded as what she is saying sounds too good to be true and she said yes. Fast forward to last month, I requested my account to be placed on hold as I was advised that it can be done when taking up the contract. Everyone I spoke to said it was not possible, I then asked them to refer to my contracting call and also send it to me. They sent me an incomplete call where we are discussing the terms and conditions. Are you guys not governed by the FAIS ACT?
