Referral campaign don't work

Cartrack is running a referral campaign. I was always hesitant to try it out until my friend bought a car a week or two ago. I referred her using Cartrack app and they called her immediately forgetting me the referral. Trust me Cartrack never spoke to me till date. I took it to myself to call and I spoke to a consultant who told me case was lodged and I will receive the sms and my debit orders will be paused for however long as stated on the campaign. Since I spoke to the lady no one reached out to me not even an sms. My debit order went off as normal and I am wondering if this referral thing really works or not. The device were installed within days on the customer's vehicle but me nothing.
