Poor service and Violation of consumer rights

Late January this year I bought a car through finance..like required you have to take an insurance with the car and so I did and I got the car.....early February while driving around I saw a utility bakkie of cartrack with an advert written from R99 a month.I approached the driver and asked the procedure of installing a tracker in my car because I'm interested, seeing that atleast R99 is affordable looking at my budget.the gentlemen kindly took my numbers and told me that I'll receive a call, indeed the following day I received a call from a lady calling from cartrack sales department..immediatelly after introducing herself she started explaining a package of cartrack whereby you see the whereabouts of your car through the app of tracker and all that...after she was done explaining I asked her how much is the package? She said the package is R199 P/M

I then told her that I saw an advert of R99 P/M,she then told me that theres no package of R99 it only starts from R120 P/M. She further explained that the one of R120 P/M you dont get to see your car on the app and all other things I didn't care about.even after she was done explaining I still maintained that I don't want the one with an app, I want the one of R120P/M which is the cheapest.she agreed and asked for my details which I gave...i then took the car for tracker installation.the following month which is March2021, a debit order of R199 notifies me from cartrack...i then called them immediatelly telling them that they did a mistake and gave me a wrong package... They said they will forward my query...

April on the 15th a debit of R199 goes off and so I decided to reverse the money and block their debit orders up until my query is resolved... After my first reversal I have been receiving calls from cartrack almost everyday for the past 3months, each and everyday a different person calling telling me about my account being in arrears and I was patiently explaining to them my problem each and every time and yet nothing happens..

Now they have sent me a letter of demand, took my profile to the credit bureaus...got a call from attorneys today demanding me to pay the balance of R995...i regret the day i went to the driver of cartrack and asked him about the procedure... Now my credit profile which I have worked so hard to improve is under threat.. Is it fair that my rights as a consumer can be violated this easily. I even have the recording of the conversation I had with the lady that called me that day and I still maintain that i didn't agree to the package that they gave me.right now I'm in a stage whereby I don't want their tracker anymore.. Can they just take off their tracker nd i move on with my life?

I just want to know what steps do I take because I feel my rights have been violated as a consumer.... Can lawyers be involved in this situation?
