Please take your 15 year old Tracking Device out of my car!!!

I am writing a review on Cartrack as a last resort - given their incapability to appreciate the urgency of removing the tracking unit from my vehicle or indeed communicating in anything more than automated email responses.

On their website, Cartrack states that tracking units are designed not to drain the car's battery and typically last 3–5 years. However, my tracking unit has been in my car for over 15 years and is compromising the functioning of my car battery. I have repeatedly asked to cancel my contract (which should be acted upon on at least an email instruction!) - I have requested for the tracking unit to be removed, to no avail. It has over recent years been well known and documented that tracking devices compromise the effectiveness of a car battery - so why must I beg to have it removed or wait 20 business days for Cartrack to accede to my requests?

I can't believe that such a company cannot see that as a customer of over 15 years standing, who has requested little, cannot be afforded some basic customer service and understanding of my situation... and most importantly some urgent action!?

Reviewer Update
Hilarious! Except it's not... the above HelloPeter review has just received an automated response from Cartrack... ***...

Since I posted at 13.27 above, and another automated attempt at placating me on Hello Peter... I have been sent a cancellation form for me to complete from a Koena Leboga at Cartrack (I am sure it's not their fault... just doing their job!)... however, I have already submitted this completed form on 30th April, because I can't be expected to just inform a company of cancellation of a contract by direct email (perhaps the Consumer Protection Act needs analysis? Maybe an email to Wendy Knowler here to clarify the legal situation? ) ... anyhow, I am getting mightily ****ed off...

It would appear that Cartrack have no desire to resolve this situation anytime soon and are relying on automated systems and regimented employees to go through the motions... Is there anyone in that company that can stand up and show some initiative to deal with a client, yes, a client, customer??
