Please protect me from CARTRACK!!!

I made cartrack aware that I had lost my job and I would be unable to continue with the service. They told me to pay a cancellation fee. Asked how I'd be able to pay if I am unemployed.

They proceeded to bill me till I owed them well over R1000

To say that cartrack is harassing me is an understatement. I get between 4 to 10 calls a day from them. I am not including whatsapp messages and emails in this number.

They said I should make a payment arrangement which did not make sense because I do not know when I'll be able to find employment.

They have called me from over 50 numbers except Sunday for months 😐😕

On Friday I received a call from a Sihle telling me he represents a certain law firm and my account had been handed over and wanted my reasons for non payment.

Told him each time I had spoken to his client's representatives I had made it clear why I was unable to pay. Made him aware I was unable to speak as I was on the road. He insisted on knowing when I'd be done driving.

He became threatening and rude. Today another person from a law firm called and I asked her to call after 2 minutes. She said someone else would call.

They never did.

Can I approach the ombudsman about this as I feel this harassment and threats won't come to an end anytime soon 🫤
