PAY YOUR CONTRACT EVEN IF YOU SOLD A CAR

Took cartrack on a vehicle, and was signed into 3 year contract. I sold the vehuicle n Dec 18 or Jan 19 - not sure of date - called them to tell them that i no longer have the vehicle and they need to cancel it - Was told NO CAN DO _ YOU SIGNED A # YEAR CONTRACT - so the debit order has been running since. However, I been reading the new CONSUMER ACT - and it seems i cant pay for a service i am not getting. I called again this morning - the call centre reply - You got a 3 year contract you must pay - i said but the consumer act seems to say different - so i was then put through to another division and i explained it all over again - and was told well, we can look at this but, then i ran out of airtime, as i held on so long to get through - So i still dont know - will i be refrunded from the time i sold the car - or will i be liable to pay for this service i no longer have, because a contract was signed. SURELY there must be provision made on signed contracts like this - to end it if the vehicle is sold
