Not disclosing vital information, overcharging, delayed repairs.

I've been a loyal customer with Cartrack for about 6 years now. I never had any issues with the tracking device in my car. In August 2024 I asked Cartrack to install a second device on my new motorcycle, that's when things took a turn for the worse. A few days after they installed the device on the bike, I called in and asked them to test the device, they were unable to give me the correct location, stating that there must be an issue with the device and would have to send a technician to repair it. That month they double debited me with 2 debit orders for the same amount on the same day. I called their accounts department to query and was advised that the duplicate was an error and the consultant advised me that I could reverse one of the debit orders, which I did. A few days later I received a call from Cartrack asking me why I reversed one of the payments? This is after they told me that I could. My installment for the car is around R230, the installment for the bike is around R130. Today they debit R740 from my account, keep in mind that the device on the motorcycle has yet to be repaired. This makes no sense. They are basically charging me double for a defective product. The technician finally arrived to repair the device today. To my shock and surprise, he informed me that the device on the motorcycle can only be tracked if the ignition is on, even the customer service consultant didn't know that the device only works when the ignition is on! No one mentioned this to me when they were selling me the product, if I had known this I would never have agreed to those terms. When a motorcycle is ****** they just place it on the back of a bakkie without starting the ignition, the product will be useless. I now have to upgrade the device from recovery only to tracking and recovery. The new installment for the motorbike will be around R210 which they will deduct tomorrow, plus an additional R350 at the end of the month for the upgrade. Which means I am basically paying over R1000 for the two devices in one month. I am deeply upset about this and I am considering logging a complaint with the Consumer Commission. They neglected to inform me that the device will only work when the ignition is on and they have been overcharging me for a product that was faulty to begin with and it's taken them almost 2 months to come and repair.

Update: I received a call from Cartrack's accounts department this morning, they say the reason why R740 was deducted from my account this month was because they have renewed the recovery warrenty on my car which costs an additional R400. When they phoned me to ask if I would like to renew the warrenty I specifically told them that I was not interested, but they went ahead and renewed it anyway against my wishes.
