Never thought I'd be disappointed like this with cartrack.
For the past few weeks , I have been experiencing problems with my car. It wouldn't start on the first attempt. I took that lightly but now this is habitual and becoming serious.
I decided to call VOLKSWAGEN dealership to inform them about my problem. They advised me to call my tracker companies for them to come and check their tracking units. According to previous experiences, clients having more than one tracking units usually experience such issues.
I called the first tracker company, arranged for a technician to come and check their device. They came today without any fight or pulling muscles.
I then called cartrack. They told me that they will arrange for a technician to come and check their unit. Now here is the problem, if the technician comes and check the unit and find out that there is no problem with it, I will have to pay a call out fee of R600. How on earth must I pay the call out fee while I'm already their client paying each and every month?
Another biggest shock I got from them was that I must get an insurance for the tracking device. Where is the logic there?
You buy a car, car insurance is needed. You put a tracking unit, cartrack needs a tracking unit insurance otherwise you will have to pay R600 should you experience problems with the unit. It means we are on our own after they install the tracking unit.
Last week, I spoke to an agent of cartrack who said to me that he checked my tracking unit on the system and it shows no signs of problem. Now, is it possible to check a unit if it is installed correctly on the car via a system? And also check if it is not tampering or badly draining the battery right there online?
Today, I again telephonically spoke to an agent as well as the team leader of cartrack, he said loud and clear that I will not get any help without paying that R600.
He also put to note that they have only 1 year warranty on their units but the contract with them is 3 years. Does it make any sense? We shouldn't be subjected to this low level of service while we are paying.
I don't need much from you guys, just send a technician to come and check the device and give me some sort of proof. Done!!! That's what I want.
Do what is right. The dealership needs proof before they work on my car that the problem is not with the tracking devices.
I never bothered you in the past because I was receiving a good service but now with this little help I need, it's difficult for yall to deliver. I am told about terms and conditions in order to get help but when deducting our money there's no terms and conditions.
