Money or you are *****ed

1st I received a call from a number I do not know and was told it is cartrack, and very rudely asking me to authenticate myself without telling me why (with all the phishing going on to get details, I was apprehensive of just giving my details to someone whom I do not know, claiming to be from cartrack), I refused to give my details as the lady was very pushy, and saying she can only tell me once I authenticate, they called me so they should know to explain the reason, then I would have gladly authenticated, but the call ended very rudely needless to say.

I then tried to call back multiple times, and was transferred to the lady, but the phone rang and rang, this happened 3 times, surely, someone could have notified me that the lady went to lunch, and I would not have wasted time and money to call to get to understand the issue.

I sked for a supervisor to give me a call back, but guess what no call.

I then come to know that my tracking unit is faulty and I have to pay R800 to get I repaired, otherwise they will not be help responsible if something happens to my car, because the unit is faulty. I did phone in to customer care trying to explain the predicament of the lack of funds, but no – one would listen saying that there is a contract and I am bound by that, but I was trying to ascertain how can the warranty last a year, (this in my opinion, is way to ***** customers out of more money) and contract last 3 years, Now money is tight at the moment, and the lady rudely mailed back saying that if I don’t pay, and if something happens there is nothing they will do. Irrespective of being told there is a payment plan, the fact is that I still am out of pocket for equipment that should be maintained for the duration of the contract, Take cell phones for example, 2 year contract, and 2 year warranty for the phone

1. They tie you into a 3 year contract

2. The warranty on the device only lasts a year

I think that is an unfair business practice, as they are guaranteed an amount of money should the unit be faulty. Profits over customer satisfaction. People are just a number, is this the type of business that Isaias Jose Calisto runs, Also the lack of empathy from his staff, shows that they are after the money and don’t care about customers. I now have to jump through hoops to get the money to fix this unit, because if something should happen to the vehicle, I will be *****ed in more ways than 1, insurance surely would not pay, and cartrack would just wipe their hands clean. Even though the device is not working, I am still required to pay for a service that does not work, or cough up the money to get piece of mind

1. Invest in some training with you staff in terms of how to talk to people - your customer service sucks

2. Review the terms of this contract in which the warranty of the device runs with the contract

I AM SURE THERE ARE OTHERS THAT HAVE FACED THIS ISSUE!!!!!
