Money Money Money
I had a tracker in my vehicle, with Cartrack.
The beginning of the year in 2020 my battery of my vehicle ran flat and I took it out to be charged. Cartrack contacted me 3 days later to notify me that my battery had been removed, which was actually shocking to think you only receive a call 3 days later, if my car was ******, I probably would never have seen it again in this case.
I then got the battery replaced instead as the battery was quite old. Not even 2 months later, the battery of my vehicle went flat again, which I was advised by a family friend that the tracker is draining the battery, as he is aware a person is supposed to have the battery replaced of the tracker once a year. No one from Cartrack had ever advised me on anything of the sort.
My vehicle stood for 3 months, so I enquired about cancellation of the tracker, as I wanted to in any way sell the vehicle. R2200 was advised to be paid. I advised one of the consultants that payment will be made once the tracker had been removed. It took 3 months to get a technician out to remove the tracker. The technician that came out even advised that the tracker was draining the battery of my vehicle.
I went and bought another new battery for the vehicle, as the brand new battery I had in the vehicle would not even charge. I sent e-mails, spoke telephonically, sent whatsapp messages, regarding the following:
Payment of R1400 was made Regarding the R800 outstanding - I would not be paying, as this is the second time I would be buying a new battery for the vehicle.
Cartracker consultants where and have been phoning me everyday 3 times a day. Each time a new consultant. Each time having to explain the story over and over. When asked if they communicate with each other in the accounts department, I was advised they do not. When I asked if any note had been made on my profile, they advise me there is a note, but they don't read them.
Everytime I want to speak to a manager, I either get transferred and the call gets cut or they advise that there is no available manager to speak to.
When they advised the situation was going to court, I advised them that I am waiting for the court date. What more do they want from me?
My other vehicle is with Tracker. I have not had one days problem with them. When the vehicle went in for a service they disconnected the battery, I received a phone call and 2 SMS's.
Is it unfair to take the R800 I was suppose to pay them, and use it to by another new battery. I don't see it as unfair.
