Lies, frustration and empty promises

We have a fleet of 7 vehicles for which we purchased tracking devices with Cartrack. One of the devices, still under warranty, have been giving problems intermittently not allowing us to start the vehicle. On 30 Sep I was stranded with the vehicle at 11:40. They tried to remotely reset the device and bypass to allow me to start to no avail. They confirmed that some of the packets were going through but not all. The Call Centre and Tech said I had to contact our relationship manager to arrange a tech to be sent out. Our relationship manager, Dorca, is extremely difficult to get hold of on the best of days. The office and cell number always goes unanswered. I sent a WhatsApp to which she eventually responded. She tried again with the Tech Team to resolve it remotely without success and eventually relented and sent out a tech. He arrived at 15:45. The Tech said there were issues / delays with the device communication and he started the vehvile multiple times trying to troubleshoot the issue. He said they would have to send someone for repairs. As a workaround he installed an override button which would disable the unit and allow the vehicle to start. Requested Dorca to schedule the repairs, which she did. When I followed up two weeks later as to a date for the repairs, I was informed that the repairs were cancelled and that there is nothing wrong with the unit. We would also now be liable for a call-out fee. The Tech report said "Bridhed the starter, still it cranked onve and stopped". Findings - Starter Packed Up. This is a blatant lie and falsified records. The report also made no mention of the override swich which was installed. It seems it is more important for Cartrack to falsify records to be able to charge a call out fee and not repair a unit under warranty than it is to do the job for which they are being paid. After complaining they 'escalated' the matter to the retention unit. I got one call from someone who said they would set up an appointment with someone. Nothing happended untill I followed up almost two weeks later and they finally got someone to come and see me. I relayed the whole history to her ans we demonstrated the bypass device installed by the Tech, which according to her he is now allowed to have done. She also took picturs of the installed device. She also promised that a Tech would be sent out the next day to come and repair the unit. By the end of the next day I messages Dorca to ask what time the Tech would be coming. The vehicle was taken out of rotation to ensure it is available for the tech and he simply did not show up. Dorca then informs me that the repair is under investigation. I have asked Dorca to send me the contact details of the rep that visited our offices and promised to send a repair tech, but she refuses. You cannot get hold of anyone telephonically. They make promises that does not materialise. No communication whatsoever. If I do not painstakingly try and get info from them and follow up from my side, nothing would ever happen. Bottom line, I have a faulty unit that only works intermittently. There is a bypass switch installed which negates the whole purpose of having the unit. I still cannot get a repair on the unit even after being promised it would be done. If you are considering Cartrack for your business, my advice is to stear clear. You will ajust add frustration to your life. Rather find another company with whom it is easier to do business with.
