Let's take money from our good clients

I had an tracking contract with cartrack since 2018 first quarter. I had an accident and my vehicle got written off. When I called cartrack to cancel the insurance policy since I didn't have a car anymore. they were not pleasant and told me I need to pay R1000 cancelation fee. Why wasn't this discussed with me when taking the policy, it's not my choice that my car got written off!
