Hope you don’t track vehicles like your service to your customers.

I’ve been with Cartrack since 2017, when I bought my vehicle.

I’ve sold my vehicle on Monday 28 October 2024. On Tuesday 29 October 2024 I phoned Cartrack, informing them of the above mentioned.

I requested that the tracker unit must be move into another vehicle. I also noted that this must be done at the end of the week. They told me it can be done, free of cost.

Round about Thursday 31 October 2024, in the morning, I phoned Cartrack and asked if they can move the unit on the same date. The lady said that it couldn’t be done. They were fully booked for the Thursday and my booking was on Friday 1 November, between 10am and 4pm.

On Friday 1 November 2024, I received a e-mail requesting the adres where the mentioned must be done. I completed the adres and mailed it back.

Later the same day, I phoned the dealership. The salesman told me Cartreck phoned him and moved the appointment to 2 November 2024, Saturday morning, 8 am.

The dealership phoned me on Saturday 2 November 2024, at closing time, confirming that Cartrack never came as arranged.

On Monday, 4 November 2024, delivery of a newer vehicle where scheduled. This would happen the same day, in the afternoon.

Once again I contacted Cartrack, the morning of Monday 4 November 2024. I was bitterly upset with their bad service.

I requested to speak to a manager. I was told a Gauteng manager will contact me as soon as possible.

Needless to say, nothing happend.

Not having a tracking unit in the newer vehicle, I decided to reject the November 2024 debit order. This I’ve done on Friday 8 November 2024, i.e. yesterday.

I knew that my original Cartrack contract indicated that I had to pay for a period of two years. Thereafter the payments will be monthly. I received a e-mail from Cartrack this morning, Saturday 9 November 2024. The mail indicated that the debit order was returned. It gave an option to indicate the reason for the debit order return.

At 08:57 this morning (9 November 2024) a gentleman from Cartrack phoned me and notify me the debit order returned. I confirmed to him that I stopped the debit order. He mentioned it is against my contract regulations.

I told him my previous cas was sold. I allso mentioned that my payments is on a month to month basis.

I mentioned the bad service I had.

This gentleman became agitated, told me that someone will phone me and rbat my phone must be on. Allso that the refitment will cost me R800 odd rand….then he dropped the phone in my ear.

It is currently 12:12pm. Still no phone call, no joy with Cartrack.
