Harassed Daily Despite Making Payment

On 25 June, Cartrack attempted to debit my account, but due to a delayed salary, the payment failed. On 27 June (just two days later), I used the official QR payment link they sent me via email and WhatsApp to pay the outstanding amount of R207.

Since then, I have received no less than three calls a day, every day, from Cartrack's collections team telling me my account is in arrears. I have explained countless times that the payment was made using their own link.

On 3 July, I was asked to provide proof of payment. Since it wasn’t an EFT, I couldn’t provide a standard PoP, so instead, I sent a bank statement showing the deduction. This was acknowledged in writing via their WhatsApp support line at 16:13 on 3 July, where I was assured the payment was received and would reflect in 48 to 72 hours.

Despite this, the harassment continues. I am still receiving multiple daily calls and WhatsApps requesting the same payment, along with the same link I already used. I have repeatedly requested not to be contacted again regarding this issue unless it is to confirm that my account has been updated and the issue resolved.

It is now 18 July — more than 3 weeks since I paid — and nothing has been resolved. I'm still being contacted daily, and I refuse to make the payment again. I have provided everything I was asked for, and even had my payment acknowledged.

Unless I receive written confirmation that:

The payment has been received and properly allocated,

My account is up to date, and

All calls and messages about this "arrears" issue have stopped,

I will not be accepting any further contact from Cartrack.

Cartrack is due to debit my account again in the coming days for this month’s payment — and that will be the last payment you receive from me. I am formally requesting to speak with a senior manager in writing, and I will be cancelling my service immediately if this issue is not resolved.

Absolutely unacceptable service.
