FINAL UPDATE BEFORE MIOSA ESCALATION

I have now completely lost confidence in Cartrack’s internal complaint handling process.

The outstanding balance on my account has already been paid in full, yet Cartrack still refuses to provide the written explanations and investigation feedback repeatedly promised throughout this dispute.

Over the course of this matter, I have dealt with numerous Cartrack representatives and departments, including:

- Thulane Mabuza - Tsakani Mnisi - Eunice Bapela - Thembelihle Nkosi - Zandile April - Koena Lebogo - Promise Sibiya - Jabulile Sindane - and Cartrack Client Services

Despite repeated escalation and written engagement, my emails continue being ignored.

To date:

- I am still waiting for the promised written investigation feedback - I am still waiting for proper clarification regarding the debit handling and authority re**** upon - I am still waiting for a paid-up confirmation letter despite the balance already being settled in full

Instead of proper written responses, I continue receiving missed calls from Cartrack after repeatedly requesting that all communication remain in writing.

What is most concerning is that meaningful responses only started happening after I escalated the matter externally and involved consumer complaint channels.

This entire experience has shown extremely poor internal communication, contradictory account handling, and a complete failure to properly resolve a customer dispute despite months of written engagement.

At this stage, I will now proceed with formal escalation to MIOSA as Cartrack has once again failed to honour its own undertakings and provide the explanations repeatedly promised.

I have retained the full communication history, including emails, WhatsApp communication, call records, statements, escalation correspondence, and payment confirmations.

Thank you for your response.

While I acknowledge the apology and the assurance that the matter will be investigated, I must be honest in stating that I no longer have confidence in repeated promises of investigation or clarification from Cartrack.

This matter has been ongoing for an extended period despite:

- repeated written communication,
- multiple escalations,
- external consumer complaint involvement,
- and full settlement of the outstanding balance.

At this stage, the core issue is not the outstanding payment, but the failure to provide proper, consistent, and final written clarification regarding the handling of this account and the repeated contradictions experienced throughout this process.

Given the history of delays, missed commitments, and unresolved explanations, I believe this matter now requires escalation to executive level (CEO office) to ensure proper accountability and resolution.

I remain willing to cooperate fully and provide all supporting documentation, but I require this matter to be treated with the seriousness and senior-level attention it now warrants.

Kind regards,

Mr Raynardt Steenkamp

ANOTHER UPDATE – STILL NO RESOLUTION FROM CARTRACK I honestly no longer understand how a company can handle a customer dispute this badly. The outstanding balance on my account has already been PAID IN FULL, yet the problems continue. After months of contradictory communication, disputed debit handling, excessive calls, automated payment pressure, and endless escalation, I am STILL waiting for proper written answers. Thulane Mabuza once again stopped responding to my emails after promising explanations and investigation feedback. To make matters worse, on 28 May 2026, AFTER the account had already been settled, Cartrack still sent me another automated payment reminder claiming that I had “promised to pay” the same R107.80 on 29 May 2026. This is exactly the problem I have been complaining about for months:
  • poor internal communication,
  • contradictory account handling,
  • departments not communicating with each other,
  • and customers being ignored once payment has been received.
I have now:
  • paid the account in full,
  • escalated internally,
  • escalated externally,
  • lodged consumer complaints,
  • and attempted repeatedly to resolve this professionally in writing.
Yet I am STILL waiting for:
  • proper clarification regarding the conflicting arrangements,
  • proof of acceptance of the terms and conditions they rely on,
  • explanation regarding why the original written arrangement was later contradicted,
  • and a paid-up confirmation letter.
The only consistent thing throughout this entire process has been poor communication and broken promises. At this stage I have completely lost confidence in Cartrack’s ability to properly handle disputes or communicate transparently with customers. The matter will now proceed to MIOSA for independent review because internal resolution has clearly failed.
