Dishonest and *********** Technician and Auto Electricians.

Today I went to the fitment center at 222 Republic Rd, Randpark, Johannesburg. They were supposed to fit a tracking device and a panic button on my white BMW 528i. My appointment was for midday (12h00).

Upon arrival on time for my appointment. There was no one at reception. I went to the other room next to reception to ask for assistance. The gentleman told me that the receptionist was on lunch and there is no one to relieve her. So I have to wait until she is back on lunch. Thar was shocking, but I had driven all the way. So I might as well wait.

A technician by the name of Xolani came to the reception area. Addressing me in vernacular (Tsotsi Taal Zulu from soweto) asking if I am here for the fitment. He confirms my name. Then asked me to take my BMW to the fitment bay. The time is now around 1pm.

To my shock that Xolani technician took was still busy fitting the tracking device at 4h15pm. At 16h20, I was then informed that the car is ready.

I asked about the panic button. They showed me where it is located. I test the panic button. It doesn't work.

We call the control room and they confirm that they can track the vehicle, but they are not picking up a panic alert from the panic button.

This unprofessional technician by the name of Xolani starts arguing with control room agent. Eventually he calls the an auto electrician. Who gives me a bull**** story that I must drive the vehicle around for it to "read". Fine, I drive down to some shopping complex in Fairlands where there was an OK food shop.

Upon arrival, I check my app. It shows the correct location of the vehicle. I press the panic button to test it. It is not working.

I buy myself some snacks because I was starving and head back to the fitment center to tell them that the damn panic button doesn't work.

The auto electrician comes to me to tell me that the panic button takes time to integrate with the server. Which us bull****.

I think ask him to explain his logic because the panic button is linked to the tracking device. So how can their servers pick up the tracking device but not panic button. What If I drive out of the fitment center and next thing I'm hijacked. Shouldn't the panic button work immediately?

The time is now 16h45, Xolani and the Auto electrician scramble and go back to my BMW. They do whatever to their wiring and as I was sitting in the waiting area. I suddenly get a call and text about a panic alert. Finally they resolved the issue.

But now there was a delivery truck behind me. Blocking me from taking the car out of the fitment bay. Had to wait for the off loading to be complete. Finally left their fitment centre at 17h05 after being **** to and dealing with unprofessional ahead *********** technician by the name of Xolani.

The fact that the reception area was abandoned was a sign that things are gonna take a turn for the worst. I should have left then and there. Worst experience ever.
