Disgusting "Service"

We bought a vehicle over the weekend (12.08.2023). On Tuesday 15.08.2023 it came under our attention that there is still a life tracking unit in the vehicle. The previous owner made contact with a family member of mine saying he can exactly see where this vehicle is. I contacted Car-Track who won't disable / remove this unit until they can either get hold of the previous owner (they have been trying for two days already) or I must provide proof of ownership. So up until this is resolved, there is a stranger out there that can track my any move. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE
