Clause in cartrack contract

I am extremely upset with the service I got. I had moved over from Tracker SA to Cartrack, with the intention of saving money for myself without compromising the product and service I wanted. I had paid about 4 premiums with cartrack and upon termination of the contract, I was drawn to the termination clause of the contract with cartrack which basically says I will have to pay an amount of R2800 for the remaining months if I terminate the contract or R600 if I refer the company to someone else for installation of the product.

I was advised that they do not accept a period of notice from the debtor which is absurd and if this was challenged, the ombudsman would find against them.

When you take out a product with cartrack, triple check of the terms. This is an infringement on my rights as a consumer and I will definately be taking it up with the ombuds!
