Cartrack wants my money despite me not having a Tracker.
December 2023 I installed Cartrack in my car. The very next day ALL dashboard lights were on and by morning 2 my car did not move. I called Cartrack in East London who kindly sent someone out to check what was happenning. He fiddled and left when the car started but that was it. The car stopped never to go again. I called him again and he came to check and said it's something else, not cartrack. I then called my insurance who sent a tow truck to take my car to a dealer for repairs of whatever was wrong. It remained there for almost 2 weeks.
They found things to fix that were not cartrack related but when I fetched the car they told me that it did not want to start. They advised me that it had something to do with the cartrack device. They Jumpstarted my car and there I was on my way to cartrack office.
When I got to Vincent the gentleman were very kind and checked everything. They did not think it was the tracker but I asked them to please take it out .. it has messed up my car and cost me lots of money when my car was not even going to go to a dealer. They took out the tracker and I signed a form canceling the contract. I then left.
Mid January I had an accident and I did not have a car anymore. It was a right off. The tracker was already removed long time.
January, February, March, April I realize Cartrack was still deducting money from me. I stopped this at my bank and May did not go through.... then the phonecalls started. Cartrack wanted the R269 that was not deducted. The more I explained what had happenned and that Cartrack took out a few days days thereafter, the more the agents on the other side of the line insisted I pay because I have a contract. I more I explained my situation and that i had cancelled the contract, the less they understood. I even received a letter in the mail stating that if I do not pay, my cartrackervwould be disconnected and I will not receive their services anymore.
Now what part of all this does cartracker not understand. 1. The Cartracker caused problems from day 1. 2. The installation guys came back and could not fix it. 3. My car was loaded on a tow truck and taken to a dealer for nothing. They advised me that my problem was cartrack related. 4. I went to the Cartrack office and my cartracker was removed. 5. I signed a document canceling the contract. 6. Soon thereafter I was in an accident and my car was a right off. 7. Cartrack continued to deduct the installment for 4 months despite me not having cartrack and a car anymore. 5. Now they are insisting I pay and send me an email stating that I risk not be enjoying their services anymore because I missed a payment. Then a Notice letter too.
What service. What Cartrack. I do not even have a car anymore. Shows how efficiently they have been monitoring my ghostcar while it was non existent.
Please Cartrack... I am really not paying for something I do not have. Check your records. I am sure you have my cartrack history there.
This morning I even get a notice from my bank to Approve the cartrack Debicheck sent to me again despite our telephonic conversations!!!!
I am honestly not going to pay for something that I do not have. I cancelled the contract.
