11 Mar 2026, 15:30 I have been a Cartrack customer, and In March 2026, they sent me an ******** Section 129 notice via email only, threatening to blacklist me. Here is what happened:
Timeline of events:
Critical context:
I am currently on sick leave due to an Injury on Duty (IOD) sustained at my workplace. I remain fully employed. I provided Cartrack with:
Their response:
When I challenged their ******** threat, they falsely claimed I provided "insufficient documentation reflecting no income" – even though my bank statements prove exactly that. They have my statements. They confirmed receipt. Then they ****.
Current status:
I have now lodged formal complaints with:
Warning to others:
Do not trust Cartrack with your money or your credit record. If you have a problem, they will ignore you, lie to you, and threaten you.
I will update this review once the NCR conclude their investigations.
Timeline of events:
- 9 March 2026: Cartrack's CEO Escalations team confirmed my case was under review with the Accounts Manager and that they had received my documents.
- 10 March 2026: Despite my case being under review, another department sent a threatening email stating I would be blacklisted in 20 business days if I did not pay R6,607.00.
- 10 March 2026: I responded stating I am still employed and would lodge complaints.
- 11 March 2026: Cartrack confirmed my case remains under review and requested UIF documentation.
- 11 March 2026: I informed them I had lodged a complaint with the National Credit Regulator (NCR).
Critical context:
I am currently on sick leave due to an Injury on Duty (IOD) sustained at my workplace. I remain fully employed. I provided Cartrack with:
- 11 months of my bank statements showing no salary deposits since April 2025
- My medical records proving I am booked off sick
- My CCMA arbitration date
