Cartrack & Their Recovery Warranty is a Farce

<p>The only reason I put a Cartrack device on my car was because of the up to R150 000 recovery warranty which they promise to pay if they are unable to recover your vehicle in the event that it is ******; especially since they were relatively unknown at the time.</p> <p>My vehicle was ****** in November 2016 and Cartrack refuse to even process my claim due to the docket having been lost by the police; they require the statement made to the police but I obviously cannot provide them with the statement as the docket has been lost/misplaced by the police and I don't have any copies. I have offered to make a statement out on an affidavit but they insist that they want the original statement which I cannot provide. Thus as things stand they are not willing to process the claim any further.</p> <p>I have no control over our SAPS and it is no fault of mine that they have lost the docket. I never even agreed in the 1st place that I would be chasing after police for statements when I signed up with them as I have provided them with the case number and the investigating officers name and contacts. I have provided them with all other documentation requested but because there is no statement they have basically thrown out my claim.</p> <p>Had I known this in the beginning I would have gone with the tried and tested reputable names in the business because the fact is that my car was ****** and they have failed to recover it thus they should honour their warranty.</p>
