Cartrack stole R194.08 from us
My wife and I cancelled our Cartrack policy in December 2016 already. On 18 April 2018 Cartrack sends me an invoice for R 582.24 for a service I haven't used for 16 months. We respond to Karabo Dire from Cartrack stipulating that we cancelled the contract in December 2016 already with proof thereof. Karabo Dire does not reply to our email, instead Thandekile Ndlovu sends an email saying that we must fill in a cancellation form and pay a cancellation fee R 1 358.56. We respond to both Thandekile and Client Services with the same email we sent to Karabo. Thandekile replies and says that only the contract holder with the corresponding ID number may sign the cancellation form. We respond and say that both my wife and I were the policy holders and as such both of us could sign and ask why the cancellation was not actioned in December 2016 already. We receive no response but rather an Invoice for R194.08 on 27 April 2018. On 01 May 2018 my bank account is debited R194.08 *******ly. We cancelled the contract in December 2016 and I certainly did not give any authority to Cartrack to debit any amount from me. Cartrack has therefore ****** R194.08 from us. This is a shameful offense for a JSE listed company who is supposed to protect customers from *******. To date we have not received a response, an explanation, an apology or a refund for the money that was ****** from us nor is there any proof that Cartrack will not continue to *******ly debit money from my bank account in the future.
